imToken supports the custom network setting function, which allows users to access different blockchain networks by setting different custom networks. In other words, a node is a “router” for a blockchain network, and users can use imToken to connect to the “router” to access the corresponding blockchain network.
imToken’s custom network feature allows users to use a variety of Ethereum-compatible networks. These include the four popular test networks (Goerli, Kovan, Rinkeby, Ropsten) and the Layer2 ecosystem networks (e.g. xDai sidechain, Arbitrum and Optimism), as well as EVM-compatible chains such as Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Huobi ECO Chain (Heco).
Security Notes
- imToken cannot verify the security of the custom network, so users should have a thorough investigation and understanding of the availability and security of the custom network before adding it.
- imToken cannot track the transfer of assets between Ethereum-compatible networks. Users need to understand the deposit and withdrawal mechanism of the current network before adding nodes to avoid asset loss.
- The token in test networks and other custom networks do not necessarily have value (even if the token name is the same), please be sure to understand this.
