Recently, there have been a lot of authorization scams. Scammers instigates users to "invest” the project, like “Mine with high APY” or “stable high APY” for transfering users’ assets at any time without users permission.
For protecting users’ assets from such scams, imToken 2.9.9 has enhanced the authorization risk warning to add triple security protection.

imToken has optimized the risk warning when users access third-party websites within the common scams at the same time to help users to identify scams and strengthen their security awareness.

Second Protection｜Risk Tips for Transfer Authorization
Fraudulent websites are usually disguised as “airdrop coin exchange” or “deposit coins to earn”, in fact they want the transfer authorization and steal your money secretly.
imToken has optimized the risk warning for transfer authorization. Since a user clicks the transfer button on the website, it will trigger the transfer authorization page to pop up.

Note: Since there are many types of authorized scams with hidden techniques, if you do not receive a risk alert when you visit a third party website to participate in an investment, it does not mean that your operation is safe. Scammers often set up the authorization quantity that is infinite or ‘9999999’ to obtain the permission for transferring all the tokens in the user’s wallet.
We optimized the description so that the "Allowance Details” page clearly shows the relevant number of tokens approved.
