This is a very good question and a deeply thoughtful one. As someone who also read Sniw Crash and Ready Player One, I’m very aware of the dystopian themes of popular science fiction. I prefer a more optimistic view of the world where we can create systems in the Metaverse that also help out people in the physical world. If you look at our Axie scholars, they are able to provide for the material need of their families with the income they are earning from SLP.
