稳定币是加密货币生态系统中的重要组成部分，对从 2020 年至今的 DeFi 繁荣功不可没，为各类 DeFi 项目提供了大部分流动性。根据 The Block 的稳定币报告 Stablecoins: Bridging the Network Gap Between Traditional Money and Digital Value，2020 年公有链上发生了 1.1 亿笔稳定币交易，稳定币交易量超过 1 万亿美元。

大家熟悉的 Dai 就是由 MakerDAO 发行，以加密货币抵押的稳定币。用户可以将 ETH、BAT 等数字资产抵押到 Maker 的智能合约，借出稳定币 Dai。Maker 通过数学和经济激励将 Dai 价格始终维持在 1 美元左右。

MakerDAO 创建于2014年，是以太坊区上的去中心化自治组织。该项目由世界各地的人通过持有其治理代币 MKR 进行管理。MKR 持有人通过对 Maker 协议和 Dai 的金融风险的管理，以确保其稳定性、透明度和效率。
